Is A Realtor Required To Let A Buyer Know That A Lot May Not Be Buildible?

A: As an agent it is my fiduciary responsibility to disclose all known relevant facts to my clients. Did your agent know that you could not build on the lot? I would assume he/she did not. At this juncture it would probably be more productive to consult a real estate attorney to find out if you can get your money back from the seller. Best of luck to you.

strong>A: If you had a buyers agent, they know all the things to ask about and represent you, a buyer. Regardless, any Realtor is responsible for being honest and fair to a customer, its in our Code of Ethics. Which, again, a customer would be you to a listing agent because they represent the seller.

I hope this helps you.

A: Talk to the broker. The Realtor should have informed you. You may have a legal recourse against the real estate company. You need to discuss this with a real estate attorney. George in Tucson
